Content Creating 101 With Our Digital Marketing Manager

Hi, EF Ambassador fam!! 👋 I’m so excited to share a little more about what I do here at EF & hopefully inspire YOU to create fun content on your platform. I have been creating content online for the last 8+ years for both my personal account & brands. I have been on the EF team for 3 years now, and it has been such a dream job & blessing in my life!

In my role as Digital Marketing Manager, some of my main responsibilities are creating videos for our social platforms, working closely with our design team on email and SMS campaigns, and capturing any iPhone content needed for website or other promotional purposes! I’m excited to share more about what I have learned over the years navigating the crazy thing we call Instagram!

What advice would you give to our ambassadors on creating their own content?

The #1 rule I try to live by is to have FUN with it! Be creative. Try EVERYTHING! The thing about Instagram (or any platform for that matter) is that things are always changing. When creating content, it is important to try lots of different formats to see what your audience likes because your audience is made up of a different group of people than even someone in the same niche as you! Before we dive into different types of content that could be helpful while creating for EF, let’s start with the basics…

    GETTING STARTED 🎉

Things you DO NOT NEED to create quality content:

    1. An aesthetic house/background
    2. An expensive camera
    3. A huge social media following

You don’t have to have an aesthetic house/background or fancy camera to create amazing content! I feel like this is a huge misunderstanding that holds so many talented people back. Your follower count also does not define the worth of you or your content. Whether you have 50 or 5,000 followers, you have an audience excited to hear your thoughts and see what you are sharing! Focus on the people already interested in your content.

Things you MIGHT want to invest in:

    1. A tripod. These are great when you are shooting content solo!
There are some on Amazon for about $30+
    2. A ring light. This is definitely not a must, but if you have a darker house or apartment, it might come in handy! Natural lighting is always best, but a ring light might be the next best option if you don’t have access to as much natural light.

How important do you feel Reels are?

Very important 👏👏👏 Reels have been the name of the game on Instagram for some time now. With how the algorithm works, it’s important to create Reels to reach new audiences. Reels are much more likely to be seen on the Discover page and shown to other users that are interested in similar content you are producing.

What tips and advice do you have for IG Reels? Trending audio, hashtags, captions, etc?

For Reels, try everything!! Try trends. Try popular audios. When creating content, I find it best to shoot as much as I can. Shoot with different angles, lightings, backgrounds and see what turns out best! I’m a big fan of bulk creating. I typically try to have a running list of ideas I’ve seen or thought of, select a day (or a few hours), and try to create as many of those ideas as possible! 🫡

When it comes to hashtags, I won’t pretend to be an expert that has cracked the code! I unfortunately don’t think there is a secret sauce when it comes to hashtags. This is another area I try to just change up and play around with to see what works! Using up to 30 hashtags is a best practice and making sure the hashtag is relevant to the content is also important.

When writing captions, again, have fun with it and try it all! Short, witty captions are always scroll-stoppers, but also don’t be afraid to share your heart and be vulnerable. There’s a product that really means something to you? Share a part of your testimony or a time God was faithful during a challenging season. The Lord has worked in my heart more times than I can count through writing a caption. When my flesh has wanted to just write something trendy or cutesy, God has quickly changed my heart to share something HE wanted posted. Listen to the Holy Spirit even in creating content!

    TIPS & TRICKS

    1. Use your back camera 📸 I know it’s trickier not being able to see yourself, but when you see the quality difference, you’ll thank me!
    2. Good lighting is key. As stated earlier, natural lighting is *chefs kiss*. You can also play around with your camera settings while shooting to create more or less exposure.
    3. When creating, it’s better to shoot wider and crop later! When uploading Reels, IG crops the outer portion of videos so it’s important to keep the focus of your video in the center with enough room! (It’s also important to keep this in mind if you ever add copy to a video.)
    4. Try and create content as much as possible! Capturing in-between moments often serves as great filler clips when creating. At the coffee shop in your EF? Video your outfit, your coffee, accessories, the shop, your feet walking up to the counter… the more clips you capture, the more you have to work with when it’s time to edit!

    INSPO FOR CREATING 🤳

Ok we’re getting to the good stuff!! Below are some examples of types of content we have seen success with here at EF. Unboxings, try-ons, day in the life, and aesthetic style videos are only a few of the fun ways you can create content. While creating, I always try to think of upcoming holidays/seasons, how I can add value or how I can entertain someone watching! 👇👇👇

    UNBOXING VIDEOS

These can go SO MANY different ways.

    – Speaking unboxing video! Create a 45-60 second clip highlighting your favorite parts about your new package!!

    – ASMR videos – these are shorter clips typically 10-20 seconds where you really want to pick up the audio from your unboxing. Sounds like opening, tapping & unzipping the package create a cool ASMR feel! These also work nicely with additional audio sometimes. Play around with and without!

    Example with added audio:
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/C84g6SIA5Jk/

    Example without added audio:
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/CupFnwUgdBz/

    – Add music or a voiceover. If you are getting started with creating content and aren’t quite comfortable speaking on camera yet, adding your voice afterward is a great way to still incorporate your personal touch! Oftentimes though, just adding audio and some text over the video works great!! Again, try it all and have fun with it 😉

    Voiceover example:

    TRY-ON VIDEOS 💃

    – Show off your full EF wardrobe with a styling video! A tripod will come in handy for this style of video to guarantee your phone stays stationary while you’re changing outfits.

    – Show multiple items, asking viewers to vote in the comments to increase engagement!
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/C7CdkRKAnP0/

    – Style pieces in different ways! Show 1 or 2 pieces styled differently to show versatility.
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/CuCpGyxg0h_/

DITL (Day In The Life) !!

These are some of my personal fav videos to watch! DITL videos can go lots of different ways with how you decide to layer in audio. Similar to the above explanations about unboxing!

Here’s a few examples from fellow creators:

    AESTHETIC VIDEOS ☁️

If you find yourself in a beautiful setting wearing EF, here’s some examples of how you can turn those shots into some cool content!

    Lifestyle:

    https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cqy2FoKA0ss/
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cxrapu4gO3N/

    Product-focused:
    – Grab a few clips of your latest EF package! For this video, I screen recorded while videoing to show the recording view. Play around with different effects, lightings, and zooms to create a similar vibe!
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/C9krL6QA6At/

    – For these style videos, It’s important to keep your phone stationary.
This is where a tripod comes in handy!
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/Ctz9SkwgATc/

    REPURPOSING CONTENT

This is a mashup of different videos that each had already been used individually. Creating this collage style format and incorporating new audio, text, and caption, I was able to repurpose content we had already used and give it new life! Always go back through your older content and see how you could reuse pieces for new messaging.

    SEASONAL

Lean into whatever season or holiday is around the corner!

    https://www.instagram.com/reel/CxgLApyA5QV/
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2bfeicAgaW/

    JEWELRY/ACCESSORY FOCUSED CONTENT

    – When shooting jewelry or smaller accessories, it is more important to get closer shots to really see all the details! Here are a few examples! You want a clean background, good lighting, and intentional layering for each piece (eg: words and crosses oriented in an upright position).

    https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3zEMRtAgEt/
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/CyMzNlVgtYa/
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cx6oKcCApeY/
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/CufPnVTgX9d/

    – A fun way to highlight our jewelry is using the Scripture a product is inspired by for the copy in the video!

    Incorporate multiple items:
Our stickers + tumblers are a great opportunity to show multiple products.
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/CxwIABNAaIP/

Wear EF while unboxing EF 😉:
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/CxMVdTXAtZ1/

    OTHER IDEAS!!

    – Incorporate other hobbies into your videos 📚

    – Example of a “trending” video! These are important to incorporate, and it’s best to jump on trends early for better exposure.
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/C9qcDlug3fH/

    – Funny/trending voiceovers are always fun to try!
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/CvxKyaVgLvp/

    – Add in friends – We love to see besties in EF 🤗🤗
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/C1sABHngOH1/

    – Add encouraging text that relates to the product!
    https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cx4fyAsAvS7/

I hope you can draw some inspiration from these things I have learned over the years! The most important thing to remember is that you are never defined by the success of the content you create. As someone who does this for a living, I can tell you firsthand, good ideas might flop sometimes! That doesn’t make them bad ideas. Keep trying different things. If God has put this joy in your heart, He is rooting for you to succeed. Keep your eyes on Him, and the gift of creativity He gave you will surely flourish. God is with you, He is for you, and He is so happy when we share the good news about His love. Keep shining your light!!!

  • The Influence Of A Father

    The Influence Of A Father

What comes to mind when you think about a father?

Think about your father or a father figure in your life,
    what makes him special?
How has his influence impacted your life?
Alternatively, how has God been a Father to you?
How has His influence impacted your life?

Here’s what the team at Elevated Faith said:

    Josh G.Founder
Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.
    -Proverbs 22:6

“The importance of a father or father figure that leads with a godly example cannot be understated. It’s an incredible blessing to have an earthly father who leads and loves you unconditionally, but it’s an even greater blessing to have a Heavenly Father who loves you more than you could ever even love yourself. Happy Father’s Day to all of the fathers, you are loved and appreciated by many, including our great God! Thank you for leading and loving by example and for the impact that you make on your children.”

    Darci D.Creative Director
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
    -Matthew 7:11

“It is amazing that the relationship we have with our earthly families and dads cannot even begin to compare to the relationship we have with our Father in heaven. God designed our families to show us just a glimpse of how He cares for and loves us! He knows us so intimately and so completely and wants us to go to Him with all things. On this Father’s Day, I’m grateful for this reminder.”

    Bethany C.Digital Marketing Manager
But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
    -1 Corinthians 11:3

“I am so grateful to have grown up with a father who is a true godly example. Not a perfect man, but someone who taught me from an early age to base my life on scripture and put my faith in Jesus during the good times and bad. I pray for more men to be godly fathers. I pray for men of God who are not yet fathers and hope to someday take that role. I pray for the men of our generation to rise up and be all God has called them to be in their home, work, church, and community.

Christ is King. How amazing is it we get to call the creator of the world our Heavenly Father? I pray we all know how loved we are, regardless of our relationships with our earthly fathers, because we have an Abba Father who loves us beyond our comprehension.”

    Jonathan F.Customer Service Representative
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
    -Romans 12:1-2

“As a hopeful future father, I strive to be a reflection of the love, integrity, and commitment modeled by the earthly father of Jesus, Joseph. Though we never hear from him in the Bible, his willingness to put his faith above societal expectations (Matthew 1:18-25) and his commitment to the safety of his family (Matthew 2:13-15) show us the depths of love made possible by accepting the graces of our Heavenly Father.

I hope that all fathers are inspired by the example of Joseph, and that we, as a community, support and appreciate the silent sacrifices they make for us every day. Happy Father’s Day to our amazing fathers. Your impact is immeasurable.”

    Caroline P.Director of Influencer Relations
I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.
    -3 John 1:4

“I was blessed to be raised in a family where my father prioritized attending church and reading the Bible. He set the foundation to keep Christ at the center of our home. This way of living has stuck with me as I’ve grown. This is how I plan to raise a family with my husband. Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads out there! Your role in the family is a powerful instrument in God’s hands.”

Megan L.Director of Product Design & Development
Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.
    -Proverbs 22:6

“The responsibility of a parent starts with the example of faith and love they exude. Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers who direct their children on the right path in life, towards God. It is a true blessing to have a dad who has sacrificed so much through all the stages of my life, and lives with love and patience in his heart.”

    Grace J.Graphic Designer – Apparel & Accessories
There you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.
    -Deuteronomy 1:31

“Fatherhood gives us a glimpse of the love The Lord has for all His children. What a beautiful reminder of how important the role of a father is in our lives. Happy Father’s day to all fathers who are raising their children in the Light of the Lord. May God bless you and your family always 💙”

    Kevin B.Graphic Designer – Marketing
As for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.
    -Joshua 24:15b

“My dad, what a guy. Haha. John is a man who I am so grateful the Lord chose to be my dad. In no way a perfect man, but a man who reminds me every day that there is no better place to be than at the footsteps of the Father’s throne. My hero. My measuring stick. My GOAT.

My prayer for all fathers this Father’s Day is to make Christ the center of their home. Now more than ever, godly men have the opportunity to stand for their families and lead them as they have been created to do. Be bold, be strong. He is with you.”

    Sharleene T.Graphic Designer – Marketing
So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
    -Acts 16:31

“If God asks me how does my dad love my mom and my siblings, I would say he loves us so much that he wants us to love God, to seek God’s truth and to live by it all our lives. He wants this to be our first priority. My dad has given me a glimpse of how much our Heavenly Father loves us through his sacrifice, his integrity, and his commitment to our family. Plus his dad jokes just make him the best dad ever!

Thank you dads all over the world for making a stand to lead your families to the Lord. I pray that the Lord will continue to bless you with wisdom so that you will be able to discern God’s will for you and for the family God has entrusted to you. Happy Father’s Day! The world is so much better with you all in it 💙”

    Rachel G.Warehouse Manager
Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.
    -Proverbs 17:6

“To all the fathers, father figures, grandfathers, great-grandfathers – thank you for being an example of Jesus’ love for us. Thank you for being someone for your children to look up to, and leading them to follow the Lord. Happy Father’s Day and I pray that you and your families are blessed!”

    Carly Lynn R.Community Manager
Whoever fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge.
    -Proverbs 14:26

For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.”
    -Genesis 18:19

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.
    -Joshua 1:9

“Fathers have a great honor and responsibility. They have incredible influence and are able to create and steward God-honoring legacy for generations to come. Fathers who fear the Lord are valuable beyond words can describe. Fathers who trust and lean on God for their strength and wisdom are fathers who will raise children to do the same.

So, here’s to the men in our lives that lead, protect, provide, teach, train and love well. Here’s to the men who have had profound influence on us and have used it to shape us into the people we are today.

Here’s to their strength, their sacrifices, their integrity, their grace and their obedience to God. Your daily “yes” to Jesus has an eternal influence and impact on those God has entrusted to you to lead and love. It is often through a godly father’s example and influence that we see the character of our Heavenly Father. Thank you for your yes.”

  • Embracing Grace

    Embracing Grace

What comes to mind when you think about a mother?

We asked our team at Elevated Faith to share a meaningful verse for Mother’s Day.

    Here’s what they said:

    Josh G.Founder
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
    Proverbs 31:28-29

“Happy Mother’s day to all the moms out there! You are deeply loved and appreciated, not just by your family but also by God, who sees and values the love and care you give. Your strength and dedication bring joy to those around you and reflect Christ’s love. Today, I thank God for you and the love you share!”

    Mia G.Photographer
The righteous lead blameless lives; blessed are their children after them.
    -Proverbs 20:7

“Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there! May we continue to be a light to our children and a righteous example of what a godly mother should look like. Praying for strength and guidance as we prepare our kids for their future life so that they will know and love the Lord our God.”

    Darci D.Creative Director
The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
    -Psalm 34:18

“Dear Lord, Draw near to those that long to be a mom and comfort them with the knowledge that You are in control and guide their days. And to those who have lost a child, Lord, it is only You that can provide solace, and we praise You for every precious day we have on Earth and the days to come in Heaven – where we will be reunited with our loved ones in Christ. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

    Bethany C.Digital Marketing Manager
I’m reminded of your authentic faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice. I’m sure that this faith is also inside you.
    -2 Timothy 1:5

“This scripture sticks out to me because I truly owe so much of what I know to my mother! Authentic faith is a precious gift to pass down generation to generation. I pray for each mother, new or old, to have the strength and courage to live each day with authentic faith, that they might be an example to those around them on their faith journey.”

    Jonathan F.Customer Service Representative
“For nothing will be impossible with God.” And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
    -Luke 1:37-38

“Following Mary’s brave and selfless example, our mothers show us what it means to fearlessly conform our lives to the will of God. To our moms: your sacrifices and unwavering devotion bring us closer to Jesus each day by reflecting His infinite grace and compassion. Happy Mother’s Day! 🙏”

    Caroline P.Director of Influencer Relations
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
    -Psalm 139:13-14

“These verses have me reflecting on the gift of life. I’m so grateful God chose me to be my mother’s daughter and how He will choose me to be the mother of my own children. It’s so beautiful to think how God uses women to bring Himself glory.”

Megan L.Director of Product Design & Development
Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.
    -Deuteronomy 4:9

“This verse stands out to me because it describes the kind of mother I hope to be – Slowing down with my children to create meaningful moments, and reminding them what matters most in our lives is the faith we carry in our hearts.”

    Grace J.Graphic Designer – Apparel & Accessories
The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
    -Psalm 27:1

“This verse is special to me because I have always had a lot of fear in my heart growing up. My mom would always remind me of this verse and to this day this verse has gotten me through my most fearful times. Let us always be reminded that through the grace of God we have absolutely nothing to fear. He is with us all the time; I find peace in that every day.”

    Kevin B.Graphic Designer – Marketing
Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.
    -Proverbs 22:6

“I am a product of the countless prayers and instruction of a strong and God-fearing woman. My encouragement and prayer to our moms this Mother’s Day is to keep fighting. May the Lord grant you the strength, grace, and love as you carry on being a light and example for your family. You were chosen for a purpose. He is with you and for you. Your children will one day say the old adage: ‘Mom was right.’”

    Sharleene T.Graphic Designer – Marketing
‘May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace.’
    -Numbers 6:24-26

“Moms, we are so thankful to you for all you have done and sacrificed for each of our families! You are an inspiration! 💖 My prayer is that the Lord will continue to bless you and hold you tightly under His wings. Be confident of this promise that the Lord will go before you and He will never forsake you. He has loved you and will continue to love you with an everlasting love. Happy Mother’s Day to all moms around the world.”

    Rachel G.Warehouse Manager
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!
    -1 John 3:1

“Mothers, let us love our children deeply and unconditionally, and guide them to love others, to reflect the unwavering love that Jesus has for us as His children.”

    Carly Lynn R.Community Manager
A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies. (31:10)

    She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful
instruction is on her tongue. (31:25-26)

    Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. (31:30)
    -Proverbs 31

“Ever since I got my first Bible, I have loved Proverbs 31. The Proverbs 31 woman ignites my heart and strengthens my prayers. She leads, loves, stewards and shows up. She shows us by example that motherhood is a ministry all on its own. It’s difficult, it has long hours, it’s often unthanked and under appreciated, and if God has given you children to raise up, you are exactly the right woman for the job.

If you are a mother, let me encourage you:
    God sees you, momma.
If you aren’t, is there a special mother in your life?
Don’t forget to tell her that she is a gift.

How about you, what comes to mind when you think about a mother? What meaningful verse would you share? Whether it’s for you or for your mother, the mother of your children, a mother-to-be, a mother in need or a woman who should be… let’s pray 🙏

Happy Mother’s Day from our EF family to yours 💙

  • Embracing Easter

    Embracing Easter

    A new season, a new life, a future & a hope.

Life unfolds in seasons: some are painted vibrantly, while others are marked by the shadows of the treacherous valleys we thought we’d never make it through.

Yet, with each and every passing season, there is a personal invitation extended to us.

As the temperature starts to change, and we stand on the threshold of a new season, let us fully embrace the promise that comes with it – a promise of a new life, a future filled with possibilities and a hope that illuminates even the darkest of nights.

Every journey begins with a single step of radical faith, and every new season invites us into a new adventure.
It’s time to leave our heavy burdens and the past fully at the feet of Jesus; this is what He paid for at the Cross on Friday. And it’s time to boldly take hold of the beauty and freedom in all that lies ahead because of what happened on Sunday.

From death to life, from bondage to freedom,

  • Run Your Race

    Run Your Race

An incredible story of faith, perseverance and an “only-God,” against all odds, kind of miracle.

On Sunday, October 6, 2019, I almost died. I was 25 years old, three months from my wedding day and eight miles into a 10-mile race when I collapsed from an unexpected sudden cardiac arrest. Fortunately, I am here to tell you this story because Jesus saved me (literally).

Shortly after I collapsed in the middle of the race course, God provided a group of about 12 people to give me CPR. They worked together to keep me alive for 10-15 minutes until an ambulance was on the scene with an AED. The EMTs shocked my heart back into rhythm and they rushed me off to a local hospital.

    Tyler lying on the pavement

Over the course of the next few days and weeks, as I recovered mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically, it was OBVIOUS God’s hand was on my life and in this story.

A few months before October 6th, I heard the Holy Spirit tell me to change my race bib from my name “TYLER MOON” to something about my faith. I was obedient to the Spirit’s call and I changed my race bib to the words, “JESUS SAVES.”

At the time, I was thinking about Jesus saving humankind for eternity, not knowing that Jesus would truly save me physically only a few months later.

Tyler with fellow runners and CPR team

BUT, that’s not the only way God showed Himself clearly in our story. A few weeks after my cardiac arrest, a local news article came out that revealed one of the men who gave me CPR, Jesse, was actually legally named Jesus (Hay-zeus), which is spelled J-E-S-U-S. Yes, you read that right. A man literally named Jesus was one of the people who gave CPR to someone with a race bib that said “JESUS SAVES.”

When this fact about the story came out, the national media came flooding to me to learn more about this wild story. Today.com, Daily Mail, NPR and others came to me asking questions about my story. I was able to tell them about how Jesus Christ saved me and my race bib was plastered all over the internet. It was amazing to see how God used a simple step of obedience and turned it into something glorious!

My wife and I started to see the power in this story and how it encouraged people in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Because of this, we decided to start @MoonFamilyMinistries, a ministry with the mission “to encourage all people to devote their life to Jesus Christ, and to live in authentic relationship with Him.” We currently speak at different organizations in the Minneapolis area telling our story and pointing them to Jesus Christ, the founder and perfecter of our faith.

When we obey the Holy Spirit’s call on our life, incredible, miraculous, unfathomably beautiful things can happen. God uses flawed people like you and me to bring His love to the lost.

What is the Holy Spirit asking you to do today? Where is His prompting taking you? My prayer for you is that you would obey His voice, in all things, big and small – you never know the impact you will have on the Kingdom of God when you say “yes!” to His call.

“And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.
For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its
shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners,
so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

    Gods Best And Nothing Less

If you’re reading this right now, you’re alive.
You have a heart that’s beating,
lungs that are breathing, and you have
    a purpose.
God’s not done with you, He’s just getting started.

Whatever feels stale, ask Him to breathe on it.
Dry bones come to life, ashes become something beautiful,
and in the desert He makes streams and He does new things.

    God is not done yet.

will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

  • A Very Merry Christmas

    A Very Merry Christmas

“Christ-mas.” When you think about it, the word literally means more of Christ. More Jesus in our homes, hearts, conversations, relationships. More Jesus in our priorities, choices and intentions. More Christ in us, through us, more Jesus in everything. What would it look like for us to reflect that all year long?

How can you bring more Jesus into your Christmas this year?
How can you be a light and share His light?

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they
may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.“
    – Matthew 5:16

How do you want to remember this Christmas when you look
back on it years from now?

    Reminders:
    – It’s not a competition.
    – Memories last longer than material things.
    – The thought, intention and heart behind what you give is what lasts and is what they’ll remember most.
    – Everyone wants to be seen, remembered, thought of; how can you give that to someone this year?
    – Years later, people likely won’t remember the gifts they got, but they’ll never forget the way someone made them feel.

Things you can give that aren’t “things”:
    Jesus
    Sharing your story
    Sharing your testimony
Sharing what God is currently doing in your life
    Laughter
    A smile
    Kindness
    Patience
    Memories & moments
    Encouragement
    A compliment
    Prayer
    A listening ear
    An invitation to church
An invitation to your home or a gathering
    An experience
    A Bible verse
    A worship song

    Scriptures to read:
“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign.
Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and shall call his name Immanuel.”
    – Isaiah 7:14

    “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
    – Isaiah 9:6

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten
of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
    – John 1:14

“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin
    of the world!”
    – John 1:29b

“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming
    into the world.”

    – John 1:9

“Every good gift, every perfect gift, comes from above.
These gifts come down from the Father, the creator of the
heavenly lights, in whose character there is no change at all.”

    – James 1:17

A very Merry Christmas from all of us at EF to you & yours

  • 10 Ways To Grow With God When Life Is Busy

10 Ways To Grow With God When Life Is Busy

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of our day-to-day lives, it can be extremely challenging to maintain a strong and vibrant faith. As Christians, it’s essential to stay firmly rooted and continue to choose to intentionally build every part of our lives on our firm foundation, Jesus. Compromise always seems small and harmless at first, but in the end, it’s always costly and it’s never worth it.

Every season you’re in will look different, and each season will require different things from you. God knows that. Even when life gets overwhelmingly busy, God promises to be with you and to help you. Keep God as your #1 focus and priority. Here are some helpful tips and practices to implement to continue growing in your faith during demanding seasons.

10 practical ways to continue growing with God in busy seasons:

    1. Daily devotion 🗓️:
Prioritize your daily devotion. What’s the very first thing you do every day? Begin each day by giving it to God. Plan it out and schedule it into your calendar with your other appointments. Incorporate some sort of intentional time with God before you do anything else. Carve out at least a few minutes in the morning to read the Bible and pray. It sets a positive tone for the day and allows you to connect with God before the demands of life that compete for your attention steal the opportunity from you.

    2.
    Scripture is the prescription 📖:
Incorporate scripture into your daily life. Print out or write down verses that resonate with you, and keep them where you’ll see them regularly – on your desk, as phone wallpapers, in your car or on the refrigerator. This way, you’ll have constant reminders of God’s presence and guidance.

    3.
    Pray like cray 🙏:
Prayer doesn’t have to be complicated. You don’t need to spend hours in prayer for it to be effective and meaningful. Short, heartfelt prayers throughout the day can be just as powerful. When you’re waiting in line, walking to class, stuck in traffic, on your lunch break at work – connect with God. You can talk to Him anywhere and everywhere.

    4. Community is crucial ⛪️:
Surround yourself with fellow believers who can offer support and encouragement. Attend church services, join a small group, or if necessary engage in online Christian communities. Sharing your faith and walking alongside other Christians are crucial. Community provides accountability and will help you stay rooted in your beliefs, especially in seasons of life that are busier.

    5. Worship 🎧:
Worship will shift your mood and the atmosphere you’re in very quickly. Incorporate Christian music into your daily routine. Whether it’s in the car, during your workout, at the library, while you’re in the shower or while you work, worship is powerful and can serve as a constant reminder of God’s love and presence.

    6. An attitude of gratitude 💙:
Practice gratitude and thanksgiving often. Take a moment each day to reflect on the blessings in your life. This helps with contentment, keeps your heart soft, pure and open to God’s voice and strengthens your faith in God’s provision.

    7. Seek solitude 💬:
In the midst of a busy schedule, carve out moments of solitude for reflection and prayer. It could be a walk outside, time in your prayer closet or even sitting in your car before rushing into where you need to be next.

    8. Be real ✨:
Set realistic expectations. There will be seasons when your schedule is particularly demanding. Big life changes, busy schedules and living in a broken world should push us closer to Jesus, not pull us away from Him. Don’t beat yourself up if you can’t dedicate as much time in this season as you could in your last. Don’t compare yourself to other people, and don’t strive for perfection, instead choose grace and obedience. God understands your circumstances, knows the posture of your heart and is faithful to meet you where you are.

    9.
    Take your faith everywhere 🙌:
Find ways to infuse faith into your everyday activities. It could be as simple as praying while running errands, listening to Christian podcasts or writing scripture on your bathroom mirror.

    10. Grow in grace 🌱:
Remember that you’re not perfect, and it’s okay to stumble. When you make a mistake, seek forgiveness and move forward with a renewed sense of purpose.

If you’re intentional, you’ll find that no matter what the circumstances are, you can absolutely stay rooted and continue growing in your relationship with God. Remember, it’s not about perfection, but about the journey you’re on with God and the steadfast love of the One who walks with you every step of the way.

How do you stay rooted in busy seasons?
